Privacy Policy
  1. Introduction

    We (Oita University Faculty of Medicine, Japan), will collect information related to personal data in providing our app, BHAISAJYAGURU. We will act in compliance with the laws and regulations applicable in countries and regions where we are conducting business, and will make efforts to properly protect personal data based on this Privacy Policy. This “Policy” explains what kind of personal data we will collect, how we will use and provide such personal data, and how you can manage your data.

  2. Applicable and target scopes of this Policy

    This Policy applies to all personal data that we collect regardless of the country or region. This Policy applies to all personal data that we collect. In connection with the application of this Policy, we are the controller of the processing of personal data.

  3. Personal Data to be collected

    We will collect personal Data such as the following lawfully and fairly.

    • Personal data provided by you
    • Personal data relating to the use of our Services
    • In addition to the above, personal data lawfully collected by us, including cases of collecting information from third parties such as Primary Healthcare Centre, Basic Healthcare Unit and Hospital

    If you do not provide certain types of information that need to be registered for using our Services, you may not be able to use all or a part of our services.

    1. Examples of Personal Data to be provided by you
      We may ask you to provide us with your personal data by operating your device and entering information or via a document or other mediums.
      The foregoing Personal Data includes, for example:

      • Your profile information (CID and name)
      • Medication history
      • Answers when cooperating with our surveys
    2. Examples of Personal Data related to your use of our Services

      • Hospital attended, doctor in charge, date of admission to the hospital
      • Status of Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection
  4. Purpose of use of Personal Data

    We will use the collected Personal Data (including Personal Data collected from when you use our Services and all Personal Data collected from third parties) for the following
    purposes:

    Improving and guiding H. pylori eradication therapy;
    Raising awareness of the importance of medication;
    Disseminate to the community and improve medication adherence and support;
    Provision and maintenance of our Services.

  5. Provision of Personal Data

    The information you provide will be removed from your personal identifiers (Name and CID). Instead, it will be managed under a new research ID.
    The Data (status of H. pylori infection, medication history, presence of side effects, answers when cooperating with our surveys, etc.) might be shared with third parties including research institutions, researchers, and companies engaged in research and development related to public health, both domestically and internationally, for use in research and development. The Data will be used for the research in public health, prevention based on scientific evidence, etc., the training of healthcare personnel, and the consideration of public health policies. This is expected to promote policy-making, research and development, and the introduction of new drugs and diagnostic technologies in Bhutan.

  6. Safety control of Personal Data

    We develop a basic policy to make an effort to manage the collected Personal Data properly and take strict organizational, personal, physical, and technical security measures. To continue to improve our protection of Personal Data, we will review and bolster our internal rules and regulations under changes in Applicable Laws and social norms.
